As a small business owner, chances are you and your sales team are trying to utilize every precious minute selling. But more importantly, you are trying to not just sell but convert the lead into a frequent customer. As simple as this can be, most of the CRMs out there focus more on providing a full-fledged CRM solution that, quite honestly, the sales guy hates to use. The reasons are many. Topping the list is the fact that the extra paperwork acts as a diversion from the most important task of the day—to sell to a customer and convert that customer into a regular.

noCRM.io from the company You Don’t Need a CRM! focuses on this painful point and offers a web-based pure lead management software that removes the pain of paperwork and instead provides a platform of managing leads in the most basic, diversion-free way. According to the company, this tool is a match for small businesses with 1 to 200 employees seeking a “proactive sales approach to turning leads into deals”. While the simple user interface is a strong starting point for the tool, the ease of lead creation has certainly upped the ante for many of its competitors. But more on that a little later.

Latest updates September 2022:

  • The Latest Revamp of noCRM.io

noCRM.io focused on updating their pipeline view and settings. The leads are now displayed as individual cards on the pipeline, making it easier to separate them visually and get them closer to what noCRM believe is a more modern UI. Users may also configure what elements they want to display on the lead cards, such as datesamountstags, and other relevant properties.

  • Sales Script Generator

Not sure if you’ve had the chance to explore this free sales tool, but it’s been a hit with onoCRM.io’s customers and non-customers alike. The sales script can be created from scratch through drag-and-drop functionality as well as created from pre-made templates. Once ready, they can be used directly inside noCRM, accessible through each lead and prospect card. It helps dictate the flow of a conversation and ensures the sales team is collecting all the important deal elements. Some of noCRM.io’s partners have created sales scripts for their customers using this free tool to help them set up their sales process!

  • Waalaxy

This is a LinkedIn prospecting tool that helps companies automate prospect generation from LinkedIn and multi-channel contact campaigns. noCRM.io now have a native integration with them listed both in-app and on their Integrations page. They have also launched a very successful webinar series to support this integration and educate salespeople on how they can best harness the power of LinkedIn and blow their outbound sales targets out of the water.

The webinar series is in French, English, and Spanish. You can catch the recording of the first French instalment now.. The English and Spanish will follow late September, 2022 s o keep an eye on our socials to reserve your spot.

Getting Started:

Their website starts off with huge screenshots to have an overview of its easy pipeline management on the desktop version and a simple lead page on mobile version. That’s good news to us as we are a big sucker for screenshots and getting the feel of the actual thing. A simple layout and to-the-point content made us comfortable. The 15 or 30-day trial was a simple step with the option to register via email. They offered us two ways to access the free trial. Either we share the sign-up page on one of the social media channels, or email them to explain for which project we want to use this software. Finally, a company that takes lead generation seriously! Soon enough, we were emailed about the sign-up. They sent follow-up emails every day asking if all is working well and with main features recommendation to test. A big plus in our book as this speaks volumes about their support system.

When we finally logged on to the system we were greeted with just one page:  Sales Pipelines and a quick and dynamic user guide to create first leads manually. Yes, that’s correct. No accounts, contacts, or other paraphernalia. If you are serious about managing your leads, there is no better place to be.

Lead Management:

So far, so good. The company seems to have clarity in what they want to offer and that is lead management in the simplest way possible. There are many ways one can create a lead in noCRM.io. This includes manual creation, a contact list via an Excel/CSV import, scanning a business card, web forms, Linkedin with the Lead-Clipper and via email.

Lead Distribution

As a value-add, you can input the probability with an estimated closing date of the deal as well and, if you need, you can add extra number & percentage fields.

Uploading a business card to create a lead can be a boon if your sales guy is on the field at most times. The photo was taken using an iPhone or Android and uploaded using the mobile application, not the app. It took approximately thirty seconds from the time the business card was uploaded. The system was able to match every field on the business card to accuracy and was ready to edit it as per required notes. You can also view the business card as an attachment to the lead. Cannot be easier. I consider this a big plus for any tool.

Watch this video to see it happening live:

Business cards can also be scanned and included in an email. This email, when sent to the assigned email address by nocrm.io. (xyz@add.nocrmleadalead.iocom) will create them in the tool as leads. This is especially useful when you have multiple cards to be uploaded. You can send up to ten business cards at one time.

But if you are importing contacts from an existing excel spreadsheet, you have to go through a roundabout way which doesn’t make sense. Despite being well-integrated with Excel, they do not allow the user to upload the leads or customers from an Excel sheet but from just a CSV-file.

The way they do it is called “Prospecting File” in the tools. A “Prospecting File” essentially means using the Excel features provided by noCRM.io to create the contact or prospect list and collect data or as before you are ready to convert them in a lead. If you are working from scratch, it is a good rough pad to use. However, if you already have the list ready to be uploaded as leads, you first have to do a lead Import. Unfortunately, we could not find how to convert the list to prospects into leads in bulk. If it’s not intuitive enough, it’s a minus point.

You can also assign the leads to anyone when converting them.

Along with this, you have the option of importing your Google contacts as well. This is great as half of the world seems to be on Gmail, and chances are your business has bought the affordable Google business app.

As a side note to assigning leads, any unassigned leads are stored under the tab of “Unassigned Leads”. This is especially useful for leads coming in from website sign up forms. The drawback is that you cannot auto-assign web-to-leads. They need to be manually assigned from the “Unassigned Leads” tab.

Free Sales Script Generator

As mentioned before, noCRM.io separates leads from prospects. Prospects are present in sheets that can be similar to Excel ones. Before turning them into leads you have to qualify them. For this, they offer a great free tool that integrates natively with noCRM.io : the Sales Script Generator.. You can use this tool to create your own sales script from scratch or by using their templates. With the drag and drop you can add tips for your sales team, checklists or questions blocks. This way, salespeople don’t miss on any questions and can focus on discussing with the prospect instead of filling tons of information.

Task Management

Task management is an inherent skill of a sales rep but a good tool ensures the skill is exploited. Therefore, a CRM which a sales rep uses to track sales is expected to have a task management tool that works. Unfortunately, a lot of CRMs complicate the process of simple “To-Do” lists with cumbersome interfaces, multiple clicks and too many fields to fill up. noCRM.io seems to have simplified it enough to delight users.

Every lead created is automatically grouped under the “To-Do” list until you put in a reminder for the next action. As soon as a reminder is added, it is grouped under the bucket “Standby”.

The lead can then be moved to the next stages right from the reminder pop-up. There are a lot of other default buckets that can act as useful organizers. For example, “Alive” (Todo+Standby) indicates active leads to be chased upon while “Closed”

(Won+Lost+Canceled) stands for converted or lost leads. You can refer to it on the left sidebar.

Email Management

As touched upon briefly in lead management, noCRM.io syncs your emails for two major purposes: One, to create new leads. Two, to sync conversations with your leads.

When you create a new account via this tool, it assigns a custom email address to you which looks something like this: xyz@add.nocrm.io (for creating leads) and xyz@bcc.nocrm.io (for tracking conversations). Whenever a new lead needs to be created, simply email xyz@add.nocrm.io with the subject as the Lead title.

However, if you want to track conversations with your lead that are being conducted through your inbox, you need to bcc the “bcc” address assigned to you. The tool matches the recipient email address to the lead and adds up the conversation as a comment to the lead. Hassle-free, all your rep needs to do is remember to “bcc”. If the tool is unable to recognize the right lead, it lands in the folder “Pending bcc Emails” from where you can manually assign it to the right lead.

Still, if you subscribe to the Dream Team edition, you will be able to send and receive emails directly through the platform by connecting your inbox. To improve email performance, you can create customizable email templates and email signatures. This edition also allows you to access email statistics such as: templates’ performances, open rates, click rates, etc.

Reports

While the lead creation and sales process was a delight to use, a lot remains to be desired for reports.

Clubbed under the tab “Statistics”, noCRM.io offers seven default reports – Company and Team performance, Team’s activity, Pipeline performance, Forecast, Lead Performance and even Analysis per prospecting list. They can be viewed graphically and tabularly while viewing by user or date and more filters according to the reporting. The dates on the reports can be adjusted for viewing.

Admin Panel

  • New Admin Panel & Navbar (New Feature 2021) noCRM’s UI is greatly appreciated by all their users: easy to use, clean and straight to the point. Nonetheless, there’s always room for improvement which is why they have revamped both the Navbar & the Admin Panel section. The Navbar is now cleaner, and the Admin Panel way more organized and intuitive.

Simple to use, the admin panel offers the capabilities to customize your sales process, choose the general settings of the account, manage users and teams.

There are five major customization options: Default fields for prospects and leads, Sales pipelines, Categories and Tags to segment your leads, predefined activities and its results, post-sales process

Account Set Up

This includes language, currency, privacy, time zone, privacy and permissions settings which includes a lot of specific options, lead and prospecting list assignment, and more extra features.

Default Fields for Leads

This is where you can define the various lead details your business wishes to capture. It is simple to add new fields. You can create fields for customer folders, a folder that includes several leads from the same client.

Sales Steps

This is where you define your sales flow. While the default is Incoming, In-Touch, and Closed, you can customize it to match your business workflow. We think it would be great if the “Create a new pipeline” buttons were more uniformly placed for increased intuitiveness.

“Manage” and “Connect” features follow the simplicity that the tool has offered, and is child’s play to work with. User Management is clubbed under “Manage” in the admin panel. User creation has basic fields to fill in and can be created in seconds. Multiple users can also be created by inputting multiple email addresses.

noCRM offers different roles : Admin, Manager of a team and basic user.

When subscribing to the Dream Team Edition you also get the opportunity to create teams and assign them a manager. This is useful to set up sales goals and track them in the platform, as well as accessing team reporting.

Template Attachments & Folders (New Feature 2021)

After launching full email integration, noCRM.io were happy to hear your feedback to better understand your needs. Since many of you expressed the need to organize your templates in folders, and to add attachments to your templates, they made it possible!

When subscribing to the Dream Team Edition you also get the opportunity to create teams and assign them a manager. This is useful to set up sales goals and track them in the platform, as well as accessing team reporting.

No-code integrations (New Resource 2022)

noCRM.io is available on zapier and Integromat, allowing to integrate the tool with many other softwares, easily and with no-code needed.

On noCRM.io’s website, the no-code academy is here to help you build a complete no-code sales stack, with various tutorials as well as explanations towards what no-code really is, and what benefits it can provide.

Pricing

Well, that completes the tour of the tool. If you are not quite convinced, the pricing might please you. The tool is competitively priced between $14 or $39 per user per month with no contract. Or you can choose to be billed yearly and you get around 2 free months. You can find more information on pricing by visiting noCRM.io.

Overall

If your day is all about leads, follow-ups, tasks, and a calendar, then this tool might serve your needs perfectly. If you are crazy about reports, this is definitely not the tool for you (which means they lose 0.5 points). However, any small business owner appreciates the need for one less thing to worry about. They crave simplicity in tools they use. They look for tools that work for them without weighing them down with jargon and data-fields. They seek tools that don’t break their bank even before cash flow begins. noCRM.io delivers a perfect, hassle-free match for the small business owner with its focus on lead management. We rate it 4 out of 5.
